NHS Wales App

Montgomery Medical Practice are pleased to announce that you can now access health services on the new NHS Wales App that has replaced My Health Online.

The App is a simple and secure way to:

  • Book routine appointments
  • Order repeat prescriptions
  • View parts of your medical record

To access the App you must be

  • be aged 16 or over

with one of the following;

  • have a fully verified NHS login
  • a valid photo ID to prove who you are
  • verify your identity using the welsh identity verification service

The recommended versions are for Apple iOS 14 and later, and Android 10 and later.

NHS Wales app has a new feature available
From 31st October 2025, patients awaiting secondary care outpatient appointments can now do the following -
• See when they’ve been added to a hospital waiting list
• View upcoming hospital appointment details
• Access links to typical waiting times and advice on staying well while they wait
• Find contact information for their local health board if they wish to request a change or cancellation
 
Important Information
The new feature does not include the following:-
 
GP-held information or primary care appointment data, nor does it provide access to a patient’s Summary Care Record (SCR) or Welsh GP Record (DCR).
 
Patients cannot change or cancel appointments directly in the App—they are signposted to the appropriate Health Board contact team instead.
 
Who can use the new feature
Patients who:
Are registered with a Welsh GP and use the NHS Wales App
 
Have a referral or first outpatient appointment recorded in an NHS Wales secondary care system (WPAS or C&V PMS) from 31st October 2025 onwards
 
Referrals made entirely within English NHS systems will not appear in the App.
